How do I register?

The easiest way to register is to find your class listing under Classes and Leagues and click on the link for your class to be taken directly to the register page.


Where are Kidz Loce Hoops classes held?

All classes will be held at Black Diamond Community Gym, 25511 Lawson Street, Black Diamond, WA 98010


What COVID-19 accommodations are needed for my class?

This varies by city and county. Click here to see our general class safety protocols. Please  contact us for specific questions.


Can I try a class before I register?

No. Due to liability concerns all participants must be registered before participating in a Kidz Love Hoops program.


We missed class last week (or are going to miss next week, etc.), can we have a make-up at another session?

No. Children cannot participate in any of our programs without being registered. Your child is covered under our insurance while attending the class for which they are registered. Also, we cannot maintain a quality kid to coach ratio if children are attending classes for which they are not registered.


Can I join in the middle of a session?

Typically enrollment is open into the second class meeting.  Many of our classes and leagues sell out, so it's best to sign up as early as possibly to ensure a spot. Please note that the registration fee is not pro-rated for the classes that are missed.


What should my kids wear?

All participants must have non-marking clean tennis shoes, shorts or sweats and comfortable t-shirt when participating in Kidz Love Hoops classes.

Parent Participation Soccer participants should wear comfortable clothes and tennis shoes.


Do I need to bring a  basketball?

Not usually. Our coaches will be prepared with all of the basketballs, cones, etc. that they will use to conduct class.  If the program notes that you must bring your own ball to comply with local health restrictions then please follow that instruction.


My class includes a t-shirt, when will I receive it?

T-shirts are typically distributed at the third or fourth week of class. If your child is absent on the day we distribute jerseys, your coach should have your jersey for you the following week.


What are the class ratios?

Kidz Love Hoops has developed guidelines for optimal ratio of coach to student is in each of our Classes. They can be modified to better fit the type of facility available.

What kind of instructors do you have?

Kidz Love Hoops hires instructors who love the game of basketball and who love  working with children. Our instructors bring energy and focus to the basketball court. All instructors are carefully screened and go through our proprietary training process.


How come they do not play more basketball games?

Kidz Love Hoops focuses on teaching from the kids prospective. They must love the game first then they can build skills while smiling and enjoying. Fundamentals will be taught in ways that make it fun and educational for all.


Coach Martinez's Coaching Philosophy 

  1.  Create an atmosphere of fun, discipline, growth and family that will allow for each player and team to reach their full potential.
  2. Continually learn and grow as a coaches, so that each player may do the same.
  3.  Never forget that basketball is a game and should be fun.
  4.  Use basketball as a teaching tool for the perusal of growth on and off the court. Build character through the game.


If my child is advanced can they move up to the next class even if they are not old enough yet?

 Only with coach's permission. We typically ask that you attend the first class in the appropriate age group. Only after the coach has met your child and the children in both the current class and the next class up can they make an informed decision as to the children's abilities, demeanor, physical size, and class sizes to determine what class would be best.

What is your refund policy?

  • Refunds for the Kidz Love Hoops programs and activities will be processed in the following manner:


  • No refunds will be issued for classes or programs on or after the start date.


  • Refunds will only be issued to the person stated as the payee on the original receipt.


  •  All refund requests must be in writing and can be submitted to the Kidz Love Hoops by email to kidzlovehoops@gmail.com


  • A 100% refund will be made when the program and/or class has been cancelled by Kidz Love Hoops.


  • A 100% refund (less a $10.00 administrative fee) will be issued if request is made 5 or more business days prior to the start of the program and/or class.


  • A 50% refund will be issued if request is made less than 5 business days prior to start of the program and/or class.


  • If after the first class the content of a program proves to be inappropriate for the participant, with the required instructor’s permission (in writing) a prorated refund may be requested. This written request must be submitted before the next scheduled day of class.


  •  If a medical condition arises and participation is no longer possible, a doctor's note is required to request a refund. The doctor's note must include the onset date of the medical condition and state that the participant is no longer able to attend the class or program. Refunds may receive a pro- rated refund less a $10 administration fee. The refund request for a medical condition must be received in prior to the last class of the session.


  • League refund requests are only granted if the vacated space can be filled by a paying player from a waiting list. If there is no waiting list or the participant cannot fill the space no refund will be granted.
